Lala Tarapakina – Lala Tarapakina – Lala Tarapakina – Lala Tarapakina –

Advisor to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources

I don’t know what I’ll do on the day of Ukraine’s victory. Some days it feels like I’ll rush to hug my family and some days I think I might go out onto the street and hug passers-by, crying together from joy and relief. It feels impossible to predict at the moment.

I see a post-war Ukraine as a transparent, honest, strong, independent country that is forever united with the wider world. A country that is making its first steps not as a victim, but a queen.

My post-victory dream is to continue my mission in society: perserving Ukrainian heritage. I’ll do it through books, stories, protecting existing culture and contributing to modern Ukrainian culture. I will grow and develop in that direction. I will, of course, continue helping stray animals.

Once Ukraine wins, I’d like to see the creation of powerful cultural and educational projects, especially those dedicated to educating adults. The war has shown us that education and intellect are our best weapons against any enemy.

I also think Ukraine should invest in tourism, green energy and a strong military to ensure our freedom and safety.

Ukrainians stand strong and work towards victory by uniting into a single community, regardless of background. We do this for common goals. Survival can be a common goal too. Every contribution makes a difference and I don’t mean money. Even investing in yourself in times of war can help the country.

I don’t think anyone should wait for the war to end to work towards their dreams though. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t believe it’s the war that stops us. It’s more about lacking resources or motivation. Of course there are cases where the war complicates things, but as the saying goes: “nothing can stop an idea whose time has come”.

On a personal level, my post-war dream, my post-war project is to continue living. I’d like to start wanting and enjoying basic things. I want to get used to a peaceful world again.

I want to celebrate life and light, be grateful, and put down roots. A good foundation can give you a push forward 🙂
